DD's is Raising Funds for Hayward Literacy Plus
Learning to read is critical to a child’s success in school and in life. Yet approximately 80 percent of pre-schools and afterschool programs serving kids in need do not have a single book for the children they serve.

DD’s works to improve communities where their customers and Associates live and work through the annual Youth Literacy Fundraiser, a back-to-school donation drive that collects in-store donations to support local schools and programs. Their impact is astounding — in 8 years of partnership with First Book, dd’s stores have raised upwards of $2.1 million and provided 850,000 brand new books to kids in local communities.
