Reading is a Good Habit

Last weekend, I went to the Main Library to meet with my English tutor. When I got there, I remembered my childhood when I was 7 years old.
I used to go to the library in my hometown. Every day after school I enjoyed doing my homework and reading many different kinds of books. One day, the library had a reading competition. I won the first place. The prize was a book. I was very happy, because now I had my first own book. I remember the title was ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin.’ This book changed my life, because for me it made my imagination grow. Books open up a world of knowledge and open doors to opportunities. Reading books is like traveling to different places. Now, my husband and I teach our daughter to read every day.
Genesis is 2 years old. She likes to pay attention when we read and sometimes she repeats some words. Every Friday, she goes with my husband to the Weekes Library Park and she enjoys reading, dancing and singing. I like that my husband spends time with my daughter because I want them to have a strong bond in the future. Now, I’m proud when I see her picking up books by herself.
I believe if you learn a good habit you never forget it.
